Our Story
We started our pottery business soon after graduating from West Surrey College of Art and Design and Harrow School of Art. Since setting up home in Herefordshire we have been creating hand thrown, hand built and decorated earthenware ceramics for the home.
There are many stages to making a beautiful mug. Our pottery is wheel thrown, turned, air dried, painted and decorated. Once dried the pots are biscuit fired followed by a coating of glaze. Finally, we fire for a second time to give the beautiful finish we love. Each item is individual and unique.
The sgraffito method is used for one of our unique ranges, this involves scratching original drawings through the colour slip to reveal a contrasting colour underneath before firing in a kiln.
The pinch technique is used for our plant pot range. These planters are hand built by coiling and pinching together which allows each piece to be completely unique.
Over the last 30 years we have shown at trade fairs across the UK selling to outlets all over the world such as The Conran Shop, Ted Baker, Harvey Nichols, Heals & Liberty's in London and to numerous stores in the USA and the Far East. More recently we have focused on supplying galleries and selling through local shows.
We really hope you enjoy our work!
